Sudip K. Mazumder (Fellow, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, USA, in 2001.,He is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Illinois at Chicago, Chicago, IL, USA. He has been the President of NextWatt LLC Hoffman Estates, IL, since 2008.,Dr. Mazumder is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). He was an IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) Distinguished Lecturer and the Chair of the IEEE PELS Technical Committee on Sustainable Energy Systems. He is also the Editor-in-Chief-at-Large of the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics.
